Production file compatibility

File compatibility between Animo 2.0 and earlier versions of Animo has some limitations:

• You can re-use any existing backgrounds (i.e. tiled files) and TIFF files in Animo 2.0 without change.

• You can re-use your old levels and color models in Animo 2.0, but you must first update them; see Updating levels and color models).

• You're likely to get lost files when you open updated levels and color models with Animo 2.0, especially on NT. You will need to fix these lost files; see Fixing lost files.

• You cannot convert an Animo 1.7 scene file to Animo 2.0 format. To use an Animo 1.7 scene with Animo 2.1, you will need to re-create it.

You can re-use Animo Ax-Cel scene files with Animo 2.0. However, once you've saved a scene from Animo 2.1, you won't be able to load it back into Animo Ax-Cel. You must therefore backup any scenes that you wish to continue using with Animo Ax-Cel.
